Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuums and mops I’ve tried. Its base station has an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less susceptible to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping efficiency is impressive and its AI mapping excels at getting around obstacles. It also has the ability to pause its cleaning work and then resume where it was when it stopped.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo J9+ is a 2-in-1 robot mop and vacuum cleaner that is among the most sophisticated on the market. It has a sleek, self-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to two mopping cycles at a time and is designed to resemble a tiny table. It’s also the only robotic mop we tested that comes with a water reservoir on board that automatically cleans and refills the cleaning pads after each vacuuming and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed on top of the unit until it spots hard floors, and then it lowers to begin scrubbing. It moves slowly across surfaces to avoid spreading wet spills or mud over carpeted areas. It does a great job of staying clear of the way of cords, furniture, and other obstacles.
It’s smarter than most robot vacuums, too, thanks to the iRobot Home app, which lets you customize your cleaning settings prioritize rooms based on dirtiness set schedules and cleaning times, and more. The app also offers detailed maps of your home, seasonal suggestions and custom cleaning routines and a variety of smart-home integrations that are easy to use.
This combination robot vac and mop is based on iRobot’s Imprint Smart Mapping technology to identify objects, like counters, sofas, and tables. It can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, making it easy to keep your home clean.
Contrary to other mopping and vacuum robots that are available, the Roomba J9+ makes an entire map of your house 7x more quickly than previous models and categorizes each area by floor type, making sure that it will always remember to mop or vacuum the area you want. It also features a new Turbo Mode which boosts suction power in tough spots. With iRobot’s Dirt Detective, it can analyze your cleaning habits and make adjustments to the cleaning priorities and settings for the most soiled areas of your home.
2. Yeedi M12 Pro+
With its top-quality features and user-friendly controls for the app and user-friendly app controls, the Yeedi M12 Pro+ is a strong competitor in the field of automated mop and vacuum robots. Its strong suction and ingenuous mopping technology make it an ideal cleaner for smart homes. Its smart automation and low cost make it a great choice for households that are on a budget.
Download and launch the Yeedi App and follow the directions on the screen to connect the M12 to your Wi-Fi Network. Once connected, you will be asked to give your robot an individual name. It’s important to note that the M12 is compatible with 2.4 GHz networks only.
The M12 has a variety of cleaning options for mopping and vacuuming. Its clever design lets the M12 map a space in six minutes and then adjust its cleaning path accordingly. Its advanced mopping features include two spinning pads, as well as electronically controlled water as well as a “True Edge” Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures thorough cleaning of all edges.
Navigationally, the M12 makes use of LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do an excellent job of detecting larger objects like HVAC vents and furniture. However, they struggle with smaller objects like cables and small rags which can cause the robot to miss spots.
The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It also returns automatically to its OMNI Station to wash and dry the mop brushes, and to refill its water tank. When its batteries run low the OMNI station can even automatically empty the dust bin and clean itself.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the bleeding edge in robot cleaning, packing a staggering quantity of features in an elegant package. It has a high mopping capacity and cameras to assist in avoiding obstacles. It also has a powerful vacuum that detects the presence of carpets. It also comes with advanced technology and voice assistant features.
It’s a fantastic mop and vacuum, completing our 1,500-square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop is automatically cleaned between uses. This feature helps reduce maintenance costs while keeping its pads clean. In addition to this, there is a dock sensor that can detect when the mop’s pad is dirty and initiates the washing cycle to keep it clean.
Like its predecessors and its predecessors, like its predecessors, the S8 MaxV Ultra features an intelligent system that recognizes household objects including shoes and pet waste using a camera + LIDAR combo. It performed well during our obstacle avoidance test with only one hiccup (it became stuck while unwinding a ball wool that was caught around its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra comes with a suction power of 10,000pa, which is nearly twice the power of its predecessor. This makes it a fantastic choice for homes with carpeting in abundance and different types of flooring. The vacuum can also be programmed to automatically increase suction when it’s moving dirt or crumbs.
As with previous models, there are multiple docking stations that can be positioned in different rooms to help in the process of cleaning and mopping. The docking station is connected to your home plumbing system, and it will drain and refill the water tank when you’re done.
4. Dreametech X40 Ultra
The Dreame X40 Ultra is the latest flagship robot mop and vacuum cleaner from Dreame and comes with some features that Dreame’s less expensive models do not have. It has top-notch suction and mops hard floors with ease. It has many advanced features, including an auto-extending mop heads and self-detangling brush rollers. The X40 Ultra also offers automatic self-cleaning of the base station and dust collection filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned in hot water and then drained, and the drained water tank is automatically cleaned after every cleaning session.
automated vacuum has some advanced options for customising the cleaning schedule, for example, choosing a specific time to start and finish each cycle, or deciding if it should clean carpets prior to mopping. It can be programmed to clean up areas that are dirty and to boost suction around pet litter and food bowls. The X40 Ultra is programmable to perform specific tasks, for example, cleaning a bathroom toilet or kitchen sink. It can also be programmed to automatically raise its front side brush when it detects wet areas and clean up debris from corners and baseboards.
The X40 Ultra has a simple user interface that offers various features. It is simple to use and set up. It is quieter than most corded vacuums, and has only occasional low hums from its motor, and occasional bursts of suction when cleaning. Its navigation system, which makes use of a camera and 3D structured lights, multiple lasers, and a 3D structured light to locate and avoid obstructions, is impressive. This assists in helping the X40 Ultra receive one of the highest scores in our tests for obstacle avoidance.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an extremely powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be user-friendly. The gunmetal base station automatically fills its own tank of clean water, then empty the dustbin into a smaller bin and washes and drys its own mop pads in between cleaning sessions. It is equipped with advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and remove pet hair from carpets, and clean raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro’s navigation and mapping are excellent, with the internal dToF LiDAR system that allows it to keep an unobtrusive appearance while offering top-of-the-line objects avoidance. It drives close to walls without hitting them and avoiding steps, and it can also raise its mop when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. It had a difficult time when it encountered longer-pile carpets and also some thick, long messes with dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to be used right straight out of the box and it just requires a quick mapping run to discover your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can add or merge rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there’s something you don’t want the robot to touch.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to vacuum and mop is a great option for homes with two types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less versatile as other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning products.
