Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos

The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is one of the most efficient combos I’ve ever tested. Its base station comes with an impressive water tank and dustbin, and its double rubber brush is less likely to cause tangles in hair than single bristles.

Its mopping performance is excellent and its AI mapping is excellent at eliminating obstacles. It also has the ability to pause its cleaning job and resume it where it left off.

    1. Roomba Combo j9+

The Roomba Combo J9+ is a robot mop that doubles as a vacuum cleaner that is among the most advanced on the market. It has an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to two mopping cycles. It is designed to look like a desk. It is also the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and refills the pads for cleaning after each mopping and vacuum cycle.

The mopping arm is placed on top of the unit until it is able to detect hard floors, then lowers to begin scrubs. It moves slowly and cautiously over surfaces so it doesn’t accidentally splash wet spills or mud across carpeted areas. It does a good job in staying out of the way of furniture, cords, and other obstacles.

It’s more intelligent than other robot vacs, too due to the iRobot Home app, which lets you customize your cleaning settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set cleaning times and schedules and more. The app also provides comprehensive maps of your home, seasonal suggestions as well as custom cleaning routines and a variety of smart-home integrations that are easy to use.

The iRobot robot vac/mop utilizes the Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to recognize objects such as tables, sofas, and counters. It can be controlled using Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which makes it easy to clean your home.

Contrary to other mopping and vacuum robots that are available, the Roomba J9+ makes a complete map of your home 7x more quickly than previous models and categorizes each area by floor type, ensuring that it will always remember to vacuum or mop the area you want. It also has a new Turbo Mode which boosts suction power for tough areas. With iRobot’s Dirt Detective it can learn about your cleaning habits to adjust the cleaning priorities and settings for the dirtiest areas of your home.

    2. Yeedi M12 Pro+

The Yeedi M12 Pro+, with its user-friendly app and features that are premium is a formidable competitor in the world automatic vacuum and mop robots. Its powerful suction power and innovative mopping technologies make it the perfect cleaning partner for smart homes. Its affordable price and smart automation make it a perfect option for families with a tight budget.

Download and open the Yeedi App and follow the steps on screen to connect your M12 to your Wi-Fi network. After connecting, you’ll be asked to give your robot an individual name. The M12 only works with 2.4GHz networks.

The M12 has a variety of cleaning options for vacuuming and mopping. Its clever design lets it map a room in less than six minutes and then adjust its cleaning path accordingly. Its advanced mopping functionality includes dual spinning pads with electronically controlled water and a “True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System” which helps ensure thorough cleaning of all edges of the floor.

In terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do an excellent job of detecting larger items, such as furniture and HVAC vents. However, they may struggle with smaller objects, like cables and rags that are small, which may cause the robot to miss certain spots.

The M12’s built-in inclinometer allows it to recognize and navigate through stairs. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to dry and wash the mop brushes, and refill its water tank. If its batteries are low the OMNI station can even automatically empty the trash bin and clean itself.

    3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the cutting-edge in robot cleaning, packing an amazing amount of features into an elegant package. It has the highest mopping capacity as well as a camera for increased obstacles to avoid and a powerful vacuum that has the ability to detect when it’s sweeping over carpets. It also comes with advanced technology and voice assistant features.

It’s a fantastic vacuum cleaner and mop, and can complete our 1,500-square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. The mop automatically cleans itself between uses. This feature reduces maintenance costs while keeping its pads clean. In addition it has a dock sensor that senses when the mop pad is dirty and prompts the washing cycle to keep it clean.

The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors has an intelligent system that can detect household items like shoes and pet waste using the combination of a camera and LIDAR. It did well in our obstacle avoidance evaluation with just one minor glitch during my tests (it was stuck when unwinding a wool ball that was caught in its brush arm).

The S8 MaxV Ultra has a new suction force of 10,000pa which is nearly twice as powerful as its predecessor. This makes it a great choice for homes that have carpeting in abundance and varying types of flooring. The vacuum can also be programmed to automatically increase suction when moving dirt or crumbs.

Similar to previous models, several docking stations can be set up to make it easier to clean and mop process. It can even be connected to the plumbing in your home with a specialized dock that drains and refills the tank automatically when it’s done.

    4. Dreametech X40 Ultra

The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is the company’s latest flagship model. It comes with several distinct features that the lower-priced models lack. It has an impressive suction power and can mop floors easily. It also comes with a variety of advanced features, including self-detangling roller brushes as well as auto-extending mop heads. These features make it a great option for cleaning hands-free. The X40 Ultra also offers automatic self-cleaning of the base station and dust collection filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned with hot water and drained, and the drained water tank is automatically cleaned after each cleaning session.

It offers advanced options to tailor the cleaning schedule. For example, you can choose a specific start and end time for each cycle, or whether it should vacuum carpets first before mopping. It can be programmed to re-clean dirty areas and to increase its suction around pet litter and food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks on demand, such as cleaning the bathroom sink or kitchen sink. It can also be set to automatically raise its front side brush when it spots wet areas, and then clean debris from corners and baseboards.

The X40 Ultra has a simple intuitive application that comes with a variety of features. It is simple to use and set up. It is quieter than many corded vacuums. The only sounds are the occasional low hum from its motor, and the occasional bursts of sucking when cleaning. Its navigation system, which uses a camera and 3D structured lights, as well as multiple lasers and a 3D structured light to detect and avoid obstructions it is awe-inspiring. This makes the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our tests for obstacle avoidance.

    5. Eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro has been designed as an extremely powerful mop and vacuum combo that is also user-friendly. The base station, which is gunmetal-colored, is self-emptying and fills its own tank with clean water, automatically empties the dust bin into a smaller container it washes and dry its own mop pad during cleaning sessions. It also comes with a sophisticated feature set that allows it to switch between rugs and hard, effectively remove pet hair and dirt from carpets, and clean the thresholds of rooms that are raised.

The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping, thanks to its internal dToF system. It can keep the appearance of a low-profile, while offering excellent object detection. It can drive up to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop automatically when driving on rugs or short-pile carpets. It struggled a bit when it came across longer-pile carpets as well as there were a few large, thick piles of dried-on debris.

Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box, and requires only the initial mapping run to get it used to your home. Once that’s done the map will be displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined when needed. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones if there’s something you do not want the robot to touch.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors due to its rotating mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to both vacuum and mop makes it a great option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box), can make it less flexible than other robots that allow you to use your own cleaning products.
